Aussie Ash
Here is a link to a rare interview with Niels Arden Oplev the Danish director of "Girl with The Dragon tattoo".He says that he endeavored to follow the book as closely as was possible. I loved the Scandinavian cinematography,a breath of fresh air. Budget for the Swedish film was $13 million , Hollywood's version two years latter is not even half as good and cost them $90 million! www.charlierose.com/watch/50049939
Bruno
I liked the Swedish trilogy, but it did feel like watching TV movies... Fincher's credit sequence with the Trent Reznor/Karen O song alone was worth the price of the ticket!
Chrad
Yeah, Fincher's film was well over half as good. I honestly thought he did a good job. It's not very interesting material to work with. Sean Cunningham
andy lee
I like both versions , the original is gritty and real - lots of teal and amber shots too Finchers is darker (in lighting terms ) and beautifully shot by Jeff Cronenwerth , with absoultely no teal and amber shots at all !! a first for a recient Hollywoood film ! they are obsessed with Teal and Amber in Hollywood. Sean Cunningham
Yeah, I like both. I loved the original when I saw it but Fincher's version will be the one I reach for more often. Cronenweth's photography is a big reason. andy lee
