zerocool22
Hello, Came across this video, found it very interesting. Looks like alexa lf and sigma fp are still worlds apart. (alexa lf vs any of these really)
Super8
Nice work and thanks for testing. Why is Sigma FP being tested? They should have included the Lumix S1H and Nikon Z6 in this test. Also throw in the EOS R and really make it interesting.

They said they tried for the s1h but didnt have a S1H available at the time of the test.

no_connection
Is the crushed blacks and cast intentional or is the cameras that bad?

It's a full frame cine camera shoot out. The reason why I want to see the quality or lack of quality from the S1H, Z6 and EOS-R is to see if we really have a wide gap between cine camera and these mirror-less hybrid cameras. I personally think the these 3 cameras would have held up well. Can anyone answer why the FP was in this test? Is it considered anymore of a cine camera the the 3 camera I mentioned that didn't make the test?

Should have included the S1H and Z6, the best two hybrid mirrorless FF cameras today for filmmaking
zerocool22
No surprises here, but here are the results. 1. Arri Alexa Mini LF 2. Canon Eos C500mII 3. Red Monstro 4. Sigma FP 5. Sony FX9 (S-Cinetone) 6. Sony FX9 (S-Log3) 7. Sony Venice 8. Red Gemini 9. Red Helium

Imagine having a timeline of 120 min of h264/h265.

The 1st line under the video says 'test of the leading full frame, 4K+ resolution cameras'. I agree the other 2 cameras should have been included but the guy has already said he couldn't get hold of the S1H
no_connection
So this is my take on it based on observation. Red Monstro have a tint in the shadows Sigma FP horrible flicker Sony FX9 insane black crush (or user error?) Sony Venice slight crush when pushed but gets away with it Red Helium slight crush when pushed but gets away with it
kye
Our favourite camera youtuber recently compared the C500mk2 with EOS-R which was interesting. Pity they didn't do a proper WB though. I'm surprised that the 1080 quality was so different, although maybe that's processing power?
