Emanuel
Who wants it? Let's open a purchase group here. Born there: Thanks @Andrew Reid for your tiptop forum (the best worldwide in the hybrids cine-like realm and stuff somewhat related!) @heart0less Done. LOL Now let's try to get it just fine! androidlad
If E mount to Z mount AF adapter is possible with 2mm flange difference: https://techartpro.com/?product=techart-sony-e-nikon-z-autofocus-adapter-tze-01 MFT to X mount (2.3mm) is technically possible as well, it really depends on demand. heart0less
Like I said, making a MFT - X Mount adapter seems possible, but don't count on any electronics in it - the adapter will be dumb as a doorknob. Emanuel
Super Members BTM_Pix Posted February 8, 2020 Super Members Share Posted February 8, 2020 `Here are two 3D files that will give you both ends of the story. This will give you the Fuji mount camera side https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2776932 This one will give you the MFT lens mount side https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:534335/comments Split the meshes to get the mounts, merge them into one mesh with the right distance between and then print. Or have them milled if you have CNC access. heart0less, Andrew Reid, j_one and 1 other 1
Administrators Andrew Reid Posted February 8, 2020 Administrators Share Posted February 8, 2020 If anyone reading this has access to a CNC garage of some kind in Berlin let me know, I will ask them nicely to make a prototype. I used to know ReWo with one, who occasionally did stuff on request for free to see if it would work. Unfortunately they don't have it any more. But if you purchase it as MFT then you'll be able to use it on ANYTHING! (which is S35 mirrorless... if the adapters come out, such as a MFT to X mount adapter. FZ and E mount adapters already exist for the Fuji MFT cine zooms) Cinegain and Juank
Emanuel
Exactly my point, David! This is a must have in the indie world to duplicate routes... Go figure the optionS we have at the manual side... ; ) MFT is the most versatile lens format ever, most affordable, truly most and a must! ; -) Juank and heart0less
anonim
It seems that at least in 2.3x or so ratio Voigtlanders might also work completely without vignetting IronFilm and Emanuel 1
Administrators Andrew Reid Posted February 10, 2020 Administrators Share Posted February 10, 2020 Maybe RAF camera can do something? Very good quality and good prices too. Emanuel and Juank
heart0less
Yeah, his anamorphic clamps and adapters are top-notch. We'd need to provide him with some details, though. Like I said, my friend and I are on it, but it'll take some time, since he's a busy person. Cinegain and Juank 1

Oh well, we're all waiting for X-T4, isn't it? So I guess it won't hurt... Thanks and keep it on the loop : -)
Emanuel
Now that we already have an estimated date for the new X-T4 (end of April), any update on the mount adapter from your side and your friend @heart0less ? : -)
Cinegain
Yeah, I'm really hoping for a baller GH6. Hopefully they ditch the idea of separating the flagships into G/GH/GH_S and just go back to the single GH already. Give it the G9 style body with huge EVF and top LCD. Put in an APS-C sensor like JVC did which enables some cool tricks like digital lossless zoom, different crops etc. Like Olympus did, don't go with contrast based AF, just do phase detect already. And then I want to see some Blackmagic features, like ProRes recording internally! If MFT cameras really are a dying breed with little to no effort going into it from the manufacturers (shame for MFT-mount specific products such as Vazen anamorphics and DZOFILM cinezooms)... boy... I'm so heavily invested into MFT/married to it, it would be a challenge to change systems now. I do not wish to get into fullframe. It's never been about the bodies, that's how we interact with what we're doing, needs to be ergonomic and solid, have all the ports and features we require. For me it's always been about lens size (and price: bigger is usually more expensive, unless you go full pro with the smaller systems, but even then I'll show you some FF options that are way more costly). The option to keeps things relatively compact... or have lenses that do quite the range with a small footprint is priceless. And of course, nobody's keeping one from still using FF lenses if needed to. I'd take S35/APS-C too. I think 4/3" sensor performance is catching up, but S35/APS-C just hits the sweetspot. But I don't care for Sony's approach with APS-C E-mount. Might as well just get a FF Sony since their APS-C line-up doesn't have much going for it. Canon EOS-M... maybe if you're a soccer mom or a brainwashed YouTube vlogger. Nikon Z APS-C, not hitting its full potential unfortunately. Fujifilm's where it's at and it's good to see the progress they've made. They were similar to Olympus, one of the classics and highly stills focused. But they've started to embrace video more and more. Not quite fully Panasonic yet. But it's getting there. Soon enough they will be the path to follow for those who come from MFT should Panasonic not step up for us. In transitioning I agree it would be great if it were possible to keep using our existing MFT arsenal. E.g. my Veydras... all MFT mount. Sirui anamorphic just got confirmed to be shipping... MFT mount. Voigtländer... etc... you've guessed it! So thumbs up for whoever can make it happen. IronFilm

It is super super early days for the Nikon Z DX system. But yeah, is a pity the Nikon Z50 lacked IBIS or raw output, then it could have been a mini Z6 powerhouse! Perhaps the "Nikon Z60"? Cinegain
Hope so. I liked my D5300, apart from the mirror flippin shenanigans. Sensor results were very nice looking. Back then I wished it was mirrorless already, with all the perks and innovation associated with mirrorless like indeed IBIS! The Z50... bit of an EOS-M style product. Think the Z-mount is one of the best in terms of versatility, no? Width and flange distance wide. Would adapt just about anything you could throw at it (and I have a bunch of native F-mount lenses that could use their adapter). So it has merit. Hopefully they're noticing the regular folks that used to buy DLSRs are now going full in on smartphones for casual photography and that they really need to appeal to people shooting hybrid/video on a more enthusiast/pro level now. I like the way Panasonic/Olympus/Fujifilm have rolled into that the way they did, wouldn't mind picking up any of their latest cameras. The others, aside from FF (although...), have their work cut out for them.
