jamskof
hi guys, my rig consists of a7iii, 5.5" monitor and a deity d3 pro. i also have a slider that it would be good to use on a sturdy tripod. i also want to get low with the tripod so im assuming solo type legs would be best. tripods ive been thinking of getting.. miller air (alu and cf) miller ds10 - alu MANFROTTO - 500 / 502 / 504 (alu and cf) e-image gh06 (alu and cf) sachtler ace m (though i prefer the solo type legs) i live in australia, so obviously miller would be better for customer support, ive heard one or two people complaining about the support with e-image and sachtler, though it could just be random whingers. ive also heard some people having issues with the "spring" in the counterbalance on the 502.. i would like to have drag support and the camera be well balanced, though im not sure if balance is really a big deal (im relatively new to video) any info or suggestions are welcome! like i said, im still relatively new but id rather get something that will last through to turning pro! ;)
ade towell
Out of those I would go for the Miller as it's local, or Sachtler. Don't cheap out on a tripod you'll only end up frustrated and buying again.
