FilmMan
The surprise comes from a little ISO test, which shows that ML can improve dynamic range and highlight rolloff in movie mode Check out the 2 pictures at the bottom of the link. Good Stuff. Perhaps they may eventually find the "golden path" ... http://groups.google.com/group/ml-devel/browse_thread/thread/3cad525f7ddec118
FilmMan
It looks like they'll improve the dynamic range of the camera. This is excellent. Now if they could figure out how to get a more detail image - better codec or line skipping issue solved, etc., then the 5D2 moves up on the food chain again. There has to be a disgruntle Canon employee who knows how to tame this camera and is willing to whisper in their ears...wishful thinking. Usually programmers put in their little code that can access secret menus. Just like years back with slot machines. Some guys figured out a coders "secret code" and put some Casinos to shame till the machines were fixed. Fun to dream.
