zenpmd
I thought the GX7 categorically did not allow focus peaking during video? I am looking for something to replace my D5200 with, as I just cannot live without focus peaking. Do the little RX100 do it? G6 is a bargain. Or I could pick up a cheap Nex. Chrad
GX7 does have focus peaking during video. RX100s do it too.

zenpmd
Ok, thanks guys. Wow I just read about the GM1, and that little lens, what a super camera. That must surely be top of the pile.
andy lee
G6 focus peaking is good, I leave it on all the time, it does work very well with sharp lenses - especially those with aspheric elements Zeiss, Canon L series , Panny lenses etc can be not as good with older soft legacy lenses - its a bit hit n miss depending on the lens

Sometimes it works OK but other times it's nowhere to be seen. It also only works in manual mode so isn't on all the time. It is nothing at all like decent focus peaking on a proper camcorder/
zenpmd
The only experience I have had previously of focus peaking was on the Nex, and I thought that was really fantastic.
