Right, jam syncing. $200 to "plug in and forget" would be sort of reasonable to me, but $200 to also need to jam sync and remember to do that every time you shut down, and/or make sure devices are in free run, etc. leaves a lot of room for human error. You just attach to the X-T3 (once TC box & field recorder are synced together), check you haven't completely screwed up levels, then you're done.
