Cosimo murgolo
Hi to everyone, I am new to this anamorphic world, first of all, forgive me for what I am about to ask. I had the chance to win a bid on ebay with the Iscomorphot 8 1.5x anamorphic adapter. Could anyone illustrates me or give me all the info about it. I am going to use it with a canon 60d jupiter 9 85mm , canon 50mm 1.8 and also have a canon 17-55mm. Any advises will be really appreciated. I have seen many video from youtube and vimeo , but they have't really satisfied me. Is it a worth anamorphic lens? Thank you in advance

Cosimo murgolo
That's very nice!!! Do you mind if I ask you what kind of camera and lenses did you use for this lovely video? What aperture? Thanks very much for sharing this.
Ben
The image from this lens can be sexy if you're stopped down enough (usually 5.6 is where it comes good), I've never götten (heh) low light out of it, since you have to be stopped down so far and the glass itself sucks up some light. I was running around with it yesterday and threw this together, very shaky (not as good as Hugo's), but you can get the gist of what it's capable of. yannis.zach
Cosimo murgolo
:) I like it although is shaky, that sky looked amazing, lovely one!!!! Very kind of you for sharing this video. I am looking forward to try my Iscomorphot, it should come in a few days, then I have to think about the clamp. I think I will go with the Red Stan models. I did contact the guy I hope it doesn't take long. I hate to wait, I wanna try my little toy :D Thank you again and keep sharing.
QuickHitRecord
Here's another way to mount it, if you have parts like these lying around:

Cosimo murgolo
what about this? for the Iscomorphot 8 1.5x The F-adapter connects eyepieces of various optical devices (microscopes, monoculars, spotting scopes) where the outside diameter of the respective eyepiece ranges from 24mm (0.94") to 38mm (1.50"). We have also a large version of the F-adapter - 37mm (1.45") to 55mm (2.16") The F-adapter can be screwed directly onto the lens/adapter tube with 52mm filter thread, or any other using appropriate stepping rings

I do not think that it will be able to grip the Iscomorphot 8/1.5 properly (as I recall you have to secure this lens by the silver portion at the rear of the lens; the black part rotates when focusing). There is not much surface area to work with.
Cosimo murgolo
Thanks!!!!! Then I have to wait for Alan from Red Stan. Anyone else in Europe? What about the narrow clamps from VID ATLANTIC?

Cosimo murgolo
Thanks guys, you are too kind!!! I only wish It was more sharp, but that is not the lens is the codec H264 from my canon. I am going to try to record in raw mode with magic lantern , the only thing is that the max resolution is 1728x 972 for only 6 seconds or lower to get more seconds. How do I go about editing afterward with that resolution to squeeze? Thank you again
