KarimNassar
EDIT : apparently sd slot is limited on the mark III was not aware of that my bad, so no improvement to be expected it seems. -------------------------------------------------- Sandisk annouced their new SDHC/SDXC card : http://www.sandisk.com/products/memory-cards/sd/extremepro-sdxc-sdhc-uhs-ii/ With a write speed of up to 250mb per second. This should work with magic lantern right? Could get serious frame sizes continuously with this, around 3k to 4k maybe? I got over 2k working without any problem with my 1000x card that writes 95mb per second. Hopefully it will work :-)
KarimNassar
"Compatibility: Backwards-compatible with SDHC/SDXC supported host devices" and the card can record 4k. So now the only limitation is the output speed of the mark III itself. Wonder how high res we will get continuously now...
Nikkor
Wasn't the controller already being maxed out with the current cards?
see ya
sigh, the MK III SD Controller thottles to 20MB/s doesn't it, it's the CF that'll do 100MB/s? And the controller is the limiting factor on all other Canon's not the memory card. sigh.
maxotics
If the OP had any experience with ML he would know that even the 95MBS SD cards are limited to under 30MBS in those cameras ;) Hopefully that card will drive down the price of the 95MBS card! I assume faster cf will follow as well
