Hi guys i do my weekly thrift store drive looking for old lenses and i come acros this lens for 7 dollars VIVITAR SERIES 1 135mm 1:2.3 TELEPHOTO LENS M42. I did a quick search on ebay and they are seling them for  400 to 200 is it worth tht much? and why? There is almost not info out there on this lens

Vivitar had a premium line of lenses called 'Series 1' and these tend to command a higher price

Vivitar did not actually make/manufacture any lenses they got 3rd party manufacturers to make lenses for them .

 

 

so if you can get one cheap buy it!

 

Vivitar make a 19-35mm Sereis 1 zoom it is rectalinear and very good
