blosom
Hi, hi, good afternoon, sorry for that, but I'm looking since few days, and I can't find the exact answer. I'm building a camera set, seeking lenses, patches, follow focus... I'm already working with 550D, but I want to break 16/9 ratio, so I look by the gh2 and hack for artistic solutions. I'm not this time interested by anamorphic ratio. 4:3 ratio have better ratio framing for picture type I research. I want to know if that is possible to film in 4/3 ratio with and without crop... Lens I'm finding are prime lomo lenses, in oct 18, for 35mm cinema camera, I'm also looking for a angenieux zoom, for super 16 mm. what do you think about. can I film in 4:3? does the lens I'm looking for can match? wich patch would be the more interesting for me... Information are such multidirectional that I can't fixe surly my questions.... users advise will, i'm sure, help me a lot... best
plochmann
Totally would have dug this if it took C-mount lenses. Canon is a bane of cinema shoots with their finicky focus and trying to rack f-stops, and then the zooms jerkin about and changing exposure. This was begging for an old Ang 12-120 and some 4/3 glass. I guess they didn't want to compete with the new Bolex or they thought Canon glass was so common that people wouldn't have anything else. Not sure what market they are after really? DSLR upgraders??? It's not like Canon needed to sell more stuff, now they get 3rd party support :(
