This has some pans, horizontal and vertical. 4K DCI, almost all shots at 16mm, with one crop shot at 35mm (so 1.5X).

I again do not see any evidence that there is something peculiarly wrong with the IBIS/OIS of this R5/lens wide-angle combination. At 16mm, the lens is, however, highly distorted - when one pans the distortion creates odd effects, but they are not wobbles and it is a lens optical fault.

In fact. Wide angle related.

Hi! I'm in the market for a new camera.

Can't decide between going for Sony Alpha 1 with Atomos 12 bit ProRes Raw recorder vs RED KOMODO

The only thing that seems a drawback with Sony for me is the E-mount and no possibility to use EF or PL lenses, otherwise I think all the other features (AF, IBIS, Photography etc...) seem to be the better offer for me. A7SIII is NOT an option, please don't refer to it in your answers as I am not interested.

I just CAN'T find any comparison online between the Sony A1 and the Red KOMODO. Anybody can help?

Thanks in advance

The A1 does 4K 4:2:2 RAW to pro res raw in the Atomos Ninja, (the raw is actually  4.3K)  but does NOT do 8K export via hdmi so 8K 4:2:2 is only available internally and in HEVC although it does record this to the SD cards.
