Karel Bata
Sorry, I know this has probably been talked to death here already :( but what's a good make of 8GB and 16GB card? And on a budget..? A link to a site giving me that info would be fine. Cheers! 8)
Caleb Genheimer
For GH2? I use two of the 16GB Sandisks. Sara
If you want the best quality video (using highest Driftwood settings) the 95mb/s Sandisk cards are the only way to go. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/824139-REG/SanDisk_SDSDXPA_016G_A75_Extreme_Pro_16_GB.html Even though the GH2 doesn't officially support the UHS-1 spec, these Sandisk cards use higher speed chips that work well with what Driftwood and Vitaliy are pumping out. The thread linked to above is VERY old and while some of the 30-45mb/s cards will work with "some" patches, they won't do well when stressed. Don't cheap out on your cards - you will regret it. No point in saving $20 or so here or there when the card might be useless if a patch comes out that requires something faster. Reselling cards on ebay won't get much of your investment back. Cheers! Karel Bata
Cheers! ;) I'm using a 600D actually. Should've said. Same advice, right?
Sara
Might be different. Someone with experience with the new Magic Lantern (Andrew the obvious expert) hacks would have to chime in because I don't know how intensive the new boosted bit rates are on that Canon. Cheers!
