Super Members BTM_Pix Posted February 21, 2022 Super Members Share Posted February 21, 2022 To the surprise of absolutely no one, Sigma have officially announced the X mount versions of their venerable 16mm f1.4, 30mm f1.4 and 56mm f1.4 lenses. https://www.sigma-global.com/en/magazine/m_series/others-lenses/fujifilm-x-mount/sigma_xmount_lenses/ Sigma very much treading the vinyl>cassette>8 track>CD>miniDisc reissue path there to make sure you can buy them for every new format you move to 😉 Excellent lenses though. billdoubleu
Administrators Andrew Reid Posted February 21, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 21, 2022 If only there was a lens adapter to use Micro Four Thirds lenses on Fuji X-Mount? 😉 They just need a 24mm F1.4 in the mix now and a telephoto F1.4 prime, 135mm equiv. Wonder if Sigma will jump on the GFX bandwagon later too? Their 85mm F1.4 EF lens already covers!

Marcio Kabke Pinheiro
Looks like that they will release the 18-50mm f/2.8 - THAT is the lens that I want, a f/2.8 zoom for US$ 549.
Administrators Andrew Reid Posted February 21, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 21, 2022 The Fuji 18-55mm F2.8-4 is due a sequel isn't it! I am a big fan of the Sigma 17-70mm 2.8-4 on EF mount, it makes a nice do-it-all lens on X-mount with the Finger adapter. But a native 18-50mm F2.8 would be superb, or even an F2.0-2.8 like the famous Samsung 16-50mm S lens.

Kind of - is an old lens, but optically still very good, works well in video, OIS par for the course. Would be nice if it is smaller - the Sigma is f/2.8 constant and it is almost the same size.
