Henry Gentles Posted April 19, 2014 Share Posted April 19, 2014 I need a really cheap Laptop or Notebook with USB3 ports. One for my 4gig Portable Harddrive and one for my USB3 SD Card reader. I'm not bothered if the CPU/Graphics is great but really only need this for Wrangling on site to clear SD Cards and check the Rushes for good audio and vision etc while on set. HurtinMinorKey Posted April 19, 2014 Share Posted April 19, 2014 USB3 is kinda hard to find on really cheap laptops. You might want to check out a used 13 inch Mac Book Air. Its got USB3, flash memory (USB3 is slower to/from the standard 5200rpm laptop drives), and an SD slot. Plus, a newer version is about to drop so the used market should be ok. But I don't know. New shit comes out every day, so it's quite possible there is a much cheaper solution out there, but it probably won't be less than $700. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
