Axel
Sorry if I missed this elsewhere, I googled and couldn't find anything (one entry on personal view, but not highlighted, and I'd have to read 50 pages !). I'd need a cage urgently, for a wedding in three weeks. Please confirm if another cage fits this camera in your experiences. Not interested in a scorpion-shaped handle, just need more 1/4 inch mounts. Thanks in advance ...
xenogears
I don't think there some dedicated cage for the g6, but a generic one like the Gearbox GB2 can work: http://www.photographyandcinema.com/collections/camera-cage/products/gearbox-gb-2-video-accessory-cage-w-15mm-rod-adapter Axel
Axel
Thank you. Than this be it. I saw this but thought, why isn't this smaller? But anyway, I think it will suffice.
dishe
I use the shrigg jig from Indiesystem. Its designed to fit a GH2 so its not too big (and fits with the camera mounted inside my gear bag) and I like the mounting points on the sides as well as top and bottom. Only catch is the battery door doesn't line up, so you have to actually REMOVE the camera to change memory cards (annoying). Otherwise, its a great and inexpensive cage that isn't too big. tupp
There are several DIY camera cage vids on YouTube. Here's one shown with a Panasonic camera.
