I’m not sure that this is being repeated at other retailers or for how long this offer is on but  B&H have dropped the price of the Ninja V to $399 and the V+ to $599.

I wonder if it's a stock clearance for the next model?

You would think so as it certainly bucks the trend of price rises !

I'd imagine that the V+ at that price is now a very attractive option for R5 users.

For owners of cameras that can do RAW over SDI, the $898 package of V+/SDI Expansion/Activation is now also a great option.

Not sure if they have expanded this list of compatible cameras that can use it but this was it at launch.

So now if you buy a used Z6 from Adorama, for for $1559 (including Ninja V) you get 10 bit full frame and phase detect AF. Quite a bit cheaper than an a7iv or Canon R6!  Stands by the fact that it’s the cheapest way to get that featureset.

It started in early May which has it running since nearly 2 months now so it pretty strongly feels like getting rid of inventory.

I'd feel pretty unhappy about buying a Ninja V+ at retail for it to cost less than 50% now, only 1 year later. Its advantages over the Ninja V are pretty niche and I'm sure a new model will be out by the time that there are more cameras to make use of them.

Ah that makes sense then.

I last looked at the price of it about six months ago when I was flirting with the idea of getting a used R5.

I'm surprised it has dropped that far that fast so, yeah, I wouldn't be amused about it either.

For the particular niche that I was looking at - the R5 - it obviously makes sense but, yeah, the regular version suffices in general.

Plus you get a great external monitor that you can position however you like and is bright enough to view in basically all lighting conditions.  That's a huge plus too, as well as the recording options.
