Got a Warm Black Pro Mist 1/8 off eBay for 28€ incl shipping. Should arrive today and I'll give it a spin on the weekend. Wish I had thought of getting a step-up adapter already to use it on the Voigtländer, for now I'll try with the Olympus 12-40 2.8. In unrelated note, we have now bought way more native m4/3 lenses than I wanted. My girlfriend hogs all the lenses I like but the 17.5mm 0.95 (she doesn't dig the manual focus). We now have the Panasonic 14mm 2.5, 25mm 1.4 and 42.5mm 1.7 and especially with the GX80 the size of the system is really neat. Hey Phil, could you please share the eBay link? Rinad Amir
Sigma 12mm 1.4 Art? series is coming up for MFT, i hope this beats current Leica 12mm 1.4 price wise ? http://hi-lows-note.blog.so-net.ne.jp/2017-08-07 Cinegain, Adept and Samin
Cinegain
Ooh, interesting, love me some more native mount Sigmas! The 30mm f/1.4 DC DN is killer, great value. Speaking of price, man, those EX DN 19mm & 30mm f/2.8 were around a hundred bucks each and optically super sound. Build quality however wasn't really something to write home about and the look otherwise wasn't all too exciting though. The DC DN definitely takes that up a notch. Interesting that they would aim for MFT not APS-C/E-mount coverage with a MFT option. Will they be joining the format with a camera of their own? I check ebay everyday looking for a BPM or WBPM 1/8 and i never saw a single one for that price (at least shipping to Europe). They are expensive. Great catch man! It was a single sale or do you have the link to share? If youre not in Europe forget about it

I will sell the PL 15mm in a second to complete my Sigma holy trinity: 12 f1.4, 30 f1.4 and 60 f2.8. If it is anywhere near as sharp as the existing lenses it will complete the most amazing value trio. Rinad Amir

jonpais
So I'm in the middle of watching Nicolas Winding Refn's The Neon Demon (booed at Cannes), and stunned by the beautiful lensing, I take a moment to find out what it was shot on. DP Natasha Braier chose to shoot with Crystal Express lenses, made from old Cooke S2 and S3 Panchros. Search some more and I learn that Cooke will be releasing a set of Cooke Panchro i/Classic lenses from T2.2 to T3.2 sometime this Spring. Of particular interest to me is that they will be available in Micro 4/3 mount. They'll run something like $9,000 apiece, but one can always dream! (I don't think this is exactly fresh news, but heh...)

Phil A
http://myworld.ebay.de/eg-auktionen/ got it from the eBay seller eg-auktionen, they had a bunch of sizes and strengths. jonpais
A few days ago, I realized my video of the Laowa 7.5mm was out of focus. I did another test to confirm this afternoon. Oh well!

jonpais
Tomorrow we compare the Sigma Contemporary 30mm f/1.4 DC DN in ETC to the venerable Leica Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2.

jonpais
As promised, a comparison between the $1,600 Nocticron and the $335 Sigma 30mm f/1.4. According to the camera, with ETC, the Sigma is actually an 82mm equivalent, so based on this test and that of the Olympus 75mm, ETC crop is closer to 1.37x.
