JordanWright
I was mainly referring to the 12-60 and the 8-18 but I still wouldn’t mind sacrificing size and weight for a 2.8 constant Cinegain
Cinegain
Agreed, that's why the Olympus ones are interesting options. 7-14, 12-40 & 40-150mm f/2.8 zooms! With MF de-clutch rings! I get you want to offer a different product than your competition... but then don't make it worse. xD I guess they think people will appreciate the range more than the dropoff to f/4 I guess. Wish Olympus would pull another f/2 zoom like with their Four Thirds SWD! Such a shame I waited so long for pulling the trigger on one on sale and for sharing the fact that it was to others. Now it's gone and I'll never know if that would've been a killer combo... JordanWright
JordanWright
Everything feels light after using the sigma 50-100 anyway lol Yeah I’ve heard good things about the Oly zooms

There is the Olympus 4/3 50-200 2.8-3.5 without even buying into the equivalence thing. It does look nice but I think I would prefer any 70/80-200 2.8 EF lens (adapted on m43) than a 2.8-4. But I guess you would be right it is a hair faster on the big end. EF lenses on m4/3 pretty much suck focus wise. Not counting they are big ass ugly things. Unless it is a Pure Cine lens I am not buying anything other than Native lenses for m4/3. Maybe a Tilt Shift lens IF I Had to have one. Why not a Panny 35-100 f2.8, or hell a 4/3 Olympus Zuiko Digital 35-100mm f/2. Either one of them would be pretty nice. A EF lens, you must be hanging around Mercer too much. For video, and AFC, I agree (though AFC and video AF with native lenses is just as bad with my GX7) but for AFS, the GX7 and Kipon adapter works great with lots of lenses (about native fast and accurate). They actually are no different than the m43 20 1.8 AF lens I had that couldn't be used for AFC at all either. Ones I have used include Sigma 150 2.8 APO, Canon 135 f2 L, Canon 100 f2, Canon 40 2.8 STM (a great portrait lens on m43), 18-55 IS ii kit lens, Canon 50 1.8 ii, it wasn't too bad even with an ancient Canon 100-300 5.6 L and partly broken 20-35 2.8 L. I am selling off my M43 gear as I don't use it a lot now and have sold some of those lenses but the only lens that didn't work for AF with the GX7 and Kipon adapter is an ancient 28-90 kit lens from a film camera. I still have the 150, 40, 20-35 and IS ii kit lens though have sold the rest. My 17mm TS-E isn't a lens I like on M43 though it works as did the 24 3.5 L ii TS-E (also sold). I'm about to sell this Oly because I've already sold the GX85 that I used it on. It autofocused about the same with the Viltrox cheap smart adapter as it did with the Oly mmf-3, which is to say slow but accurate in AF-S. So are going to stay with the Sony A7s or go up to a A7r mk II, or a A7s mkII if you sell your m4/3 stuff?
Matt Kieley
Fujinon 12.5mm 1.4 on the bmpcc, shot wide open. I still need an adapter that will allow me to focus past 2ft, but I wanted to at least get a rough idea of the sharpness of this lens at f/1.4. I'm pleased so far. jonpais
Anyone who’s followed my activity here knows I’ve been a fairly active spokesperson for Veydra, but that relationship has soured. https://jonpais.wordpress.com/2018/03/02/veydra-anybody-home/
Cinegain
Did you try to get a hold of Ryan Avery yet? Asked Matthew Duclos, Noam Kroll & Adam Wilt if they know anything about this disappearance act? They seemed pretty in the loop. And I would start a procedure with your creditcard company to get your money back...

Removing the charges from my credit card will involve deactivating my card and having my bank issue a new one, then having my sister send it to me in Vietnam. So I’m waiting till I’ve finished preparing my taxes, since I’ll need it to pay my preparer. So maybe next week.
Cinegain
Geez Louise, that sounds hella cumbersome. With the very few issues I had over the years it was pretty easy to pull my money back (even normal wire transfers (high fee though)). Used to think most creditcards would include helping you out up to 60 days, believe that even got extended to 180 days at some point. Guess things aren't that straight forward everywhere. Well, good luck, keep us up to date, curious about Veydra's fate. Guess owning a Veydra now will be like owning a unicorn.
