Administrators Andrew Reid Posted August 20, 2022 Administrators Share Posted August 20, 2022 Interesting technique https://ymcinema.com/2022/08/17/shooting-anamorphic-on-vertical-sensor/ Get that "Passing" look on your 3:4 S1R 5K or S1H without cropping. hyalinejim
I had a go at this, complete with fake grain and narrow DOF but without such a photogenic subject, back in the mists of time. It was a 2x anamorphic on a 16:9 5D2 to give a square format. Would be perfect for Insta now! Juank, Andrew Reid and PannySVHS
Owlgreen
With the S1 and S1H you could shoot vertical 2:3 with a 2x anamorphic and desqueeze to 4:3. In a sense it'd be like using a virtual 48mm x 36mm sensor. I like the look.

Did you shoot this with a 5d III in ML RAW? https://vimeo.com/81609980 Juank and hyalinejim

I haven't updated my Vimeo in a good few years. There certainly was a point where I was doing corporate work in 5D3 raw, but that video might have been h264 with the VisionColor picture style.
