HEVC Video Encoding May Not Make It Due to Licensing Terms - Blow for 4K Distribution

Saw this article at Streaming Media, about the HEVC (also known at H.265) licensing terms, and how are likely to keep HEVC from being adopted.  The costs are too high.  That would be a big blow for 4K distribution, since more efficient encoding is needed to make 4K distribution practical.
