Hello guys,

I am trying to use a video overlay in my video's. When I import and drag it over in Premiere it is instantly fine. But whenever I do the same thing in Davinci Resolve.
The default clip Alpha Mode setting is "Straight", So I see these weird black edges.

But whenever I change the Alpha Mode setting to "Premultiplied". The background color of the video overlay changes (even when it hasnt been scaled down).

So this is doing my head in, does anybody know a fix?

Thanks!

Ok found it
Set alpha mode to Premultiplied and change Dominance to "Upper field" and make sure data levels are on "full data".

Good to hear you worked it out.  Resolve has all the options but sometimes it guesses wrong and you need to roll your sleeves up and correct it.

I guess that's what happens when you make something more powerful - it's got a steeper learning curve.
