Zoom anamorphic with the Pen-F 50-90 F3.5

I've been looking for a suitable zoom lens to work behind an anamorphic. 

I stumbled upon the Olympus Pen-F 50-90 F3.5, which seems to have the right kind of DNA. Its a half frame lens so is suitable for mirrorless APSC and below.

 

Its relatively fast, not too far away from the F2.8 pro standard and has a front optic about 40mm diameter and of course has a nice range of 50-90mm at constant F3.5

I don't know if its par focal 

 

If anyone knows this lens I would appreciate details, and if you have used it behind an anamorphic please report your findings.

I really don't know if the front ring of this lens moves but i've heard that's too heavy!
You should check the Nikon 35-70 F3.3-4.5 MACRO AIS (52).
It's incredibly small, light and with a fixed front ring! I have one and i love it!

Most old zooms rotate when focussing... The 50-90mm looks like it does so too.

For smaller sensors, I'd go with the Olympus Zuiko 35-70mm f3.6. The 55mm front ring does not rotate, and it is parfocal (which is why I bought it).

 

The only downside that I can see is that it extends when focusing OR zooming, so it's best used with 8mm or small 16mm anamorphics only.
