popalock
I'm shooting in 3 hour blocks (in 45min intervals) and swapping batteries from my GH2, but having been connected to a tripod is proving a total b!tch. So I'm looking for options which would be either an extended battery pack OR a much easier way to QUICKLY swap out batteries while being connected to a tripod Any ideas? I've found this extended GH2 battery plate but it's not particularly cheap + I'll have to think about where to mount it(and so opens the door to more problems)
booneypants
This battery grip looks pretty cool for a china product: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ownuser-Battery-Grip-MIG-PGH2RAB-for-Panasonic-Lumix-DMC-GH2-/400297946366?pt=Camera_Cables_Cords&hash=item5d339decfe

Stephen de Vere
I made a very simple flat plate that goes under the camera and provides a tripod mounting point offset well away from the battery door. I also have done the custom made battery setup which works for 6hrs or more. 8.4v 45mA RC battery 1.7mm int 4.75mm ext connector (ebay "Power DC Plug 1.7mm") to Panasonic DMW-DCC8 DC Coupler (requires at least 8.4 v) http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/265/gh2-batteries-discussion/p1
DaveC
I use v-mount batteries and a Switronix adapter http://www.switronix.com/news/204-switronix-releases-xp-cable-for-panasonic-lumix-gh2 I added sensor connectors (similar to LEMO, not as good but cheaper) and it works really well.
