Flynn
That bitch was CRAZY! :o Can you give a general idea of what you're going to do next Maxine? And was the falling snow added in post? Only thing I noticed, for the subtitles, when you put "uh" I think you should have used "huh" instead. But that was very well done. Looking forward to your next one. Daniel Acuña
J'ai beaucoup aimé, c'est du très bon boulot, surtout si on considère que tu as quasiment tout fait toi-même, bravo! J'espère en voir plus par la suite ;)
Gregormannschaft
Haha, for someone uncomfortable socialising with other people you sure do a great job of marketing your stuff. Anyway, that aside, commendable stuff! It's a hell of a lot of work doing this kind of stuff alone so well done. How long did the whole process take you? mtheory
Impressive, you have the skills, now you need a budget. I recommend you do a Kickstarter/IndieGoGo campaign for your next film and I'll gladly contribute.

Thank you Flynn, The next movie (I think) will be a drama about a hit and run and the consequences for everyone involved. It's actually been submitted to The Music Bed's Film Supply contest and, so far, stands amongst the most popular submissions. You can vote for me if you want lol :) https://www.themusicbed.com/projectfilmsupply/stories/the-wind-at-my-door I'm aware I'm a shameless self-promoter, but in this day and age... ;)

Big thanks to you Greg, The film took forever (5 months). We shot mostly on weekends, at night. We didn't have a script so I would re-shoot a whole lot, trying to make sense of the story. For instance, when I first started shooting this movie, it was a drama about a divorce. It's safe to say I'll never shoot without a proper screenplay again. :)

I'm crossing my fingers hoping that my film submission at the Music Bed's Film Supply contest will win. If not, I do plan on starting a Kickstater campaign to help raise $ for The Wind at my Door. If you'd like....but only if you'd like...you can vote for it here. :) https://www.themusicbed.com/projectfilmsupply/stories/the-wind-at-my-door
M.N
Just want to thank you all for the kind words and support. When I first uploaded my film to the net I thought I would get destroyed (the internet CAN be a very scary place) You guys and gals are truly kind people. :)

rak_heri
I DID NOT KNOW about the dotcom watermark at 14min. That really pisses me off. I would download the music I thought would go into the film and place the demofiles on my timeline. The last thing I did in editing was go and purchase all the music/sfx and discard those I didn't want. Then I was faced with the task of manually going over every demo sound file and replace them with the clean, purchased file from pond5. Looks like there's a demo soundfile in there I forgot to change... BTW, anyone knows an easier way of doing this? As I was editing the film I was also downloading preview music from pond 5 and adding it to my time line. (I did not want to purchase the music right away, because I figured I could easiy change my mind later on). It was a real pain going over the entire movie to replace the preview sound files with the purchased ones. Tips, anyone? Hi Maxime, with vimeo, it's possible to upload a new video file and it will replace the existing one. It's seamless for users who already have the url. For the audio files issue, you could go to your media library and then replace the source files there? Most editing software allow you to change a file to another one on your hard drive. I don't see why you should that in your timeline.

I'm still learning. Man I wish I knew that then... lol Thanks for the info buddy... you probably already know this, but if you haven't tried Frite Alors in Mtl, you have got to!
