JazzBox
Ciao! On most of my music videos I'm after a film-like aesthetics: I always try to keep the shutter speed at 180°, but I normally shot ad 25p, not at 24p. Do you think 24p is indispensable for a cinematic look? Or 25p is also ok? Thank you for your comments :)
jgharding
It's so close it looks just as cinematic really. It's mostly convenient for shooting in 50hz countries, so I use it in the UK for example. TBH I sometimes use it in the US too, at 150-degree shutter ;) JazzBox
JazzBox
Thank you very much for your kind answer! The same 50hz here in Italy :) p.s.: I just saw Rupert Neve on your website... simply amazing! As recording engineer I love his 1073 preamp! :) jgharding
Guest Ebrahim Saadawi
The visual difference isn't apparent, not even to highly skilled eyes.
andy lee
the most important thing for a cinematic look is the lens you use and the f stop you choose , that dictatate the look the most , I personally cant tell the differance between 25p and 24p visually JazzBox

That's great! It's crazy that most of the people that shot videos also are involved in music! :) This is one of my fav. leeys
And grading makes a difference too! Poorly graded 24p is still an eyesore.
JazzBox
That's true! And lighting/framing also plays a great part, but I was in doubt if using 25p was a bad habit :)
