Perplex
I currently have a 5d Mark III, Canon 70d. I would like to get the A7S, but I fear that shooting with 5d and A7s would be a headache to match in post. Can anyone chime in? I was thinking to shoot in Sony's S-Log and just apply a Canon LUT. (my grading skills are not strong). But I just wanted some input before I take the plunge. Any input would be very welcomed. Thank you. jcs
I believe the A7S and 5D3 RAW will be able to match pretty well (still working on it):Camera A:Camera B:

You can't just apply a Canon LUT, you apply an s-log lut and after that you can try matching them. It all depends on how closely you want them to match. dafreaking
So similar question as the OP. Shooting a wedding with a mix of A7S and 5Dmk3. While I don't need them to match 100%, getting them close is a requirement. The 5d will use a 70-200 and used mainly for tighter shots due to it's softness. The A7S will primarily use a 16-35mm and 24-70mm (2 bodies, both with metabones adaptors) I would prefer not shooing in Slog2 due to the extra time required in post and relative inexperience while grading. So, anyone who owns both, what would be good picture setting to use on both to make it easier to match them in post? Thanks
