Micah Mahaffey
I recently released a short film I shot entirely on a Canon T3i. I feel like the era of 1080p h.264 DSLR's are over but thought it'd be cool to share how they can still create great images. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjOk5-aeTzQ Wulf and sudopera
Guest Ebrahim Saadawi
God this is absolutely BRILLIANT. I don't have a single criticism, even on Image quality! It looks like it's been shot on a red/alexa for all I care. Just brilliant. The story flow, script, narrating, editing, pacing, sound design, framing, lighting, and most impressively that brilliant actor. This is hollywood level pro acting right there! If the T3i can make this, 99% of us shouldn't have spent all that time chasing slightly better cameras' nerdiness... Jimmy
Yea, quality work there all round.Shows that script, acting, good lighting, camera movement and sound design are far more important than the next big camera spec that we all need. Micah Mahaffey
Thanks for the amazing comments! I'm glad to see my t3i still works as a story telling tool. I wouldn't be upgrading to an NX1 if it wasn't for 4k becoming the new standard and I want to future proof everything I make. Thanks again for the kind words. You are confusing those elements with the quality of the camera output, which is not the same thing. Most of those shots were dark scenes without a lot of detail, so you don't notice the IQ issues as much.
Ryan Monster
That was incredible. Not just how it looked but the writing, music, acting, and so on was just suburb! Visually the cinematography was fantastic!! Love the use of colors and dark contrasted shadows as well. Seriously great job on this.
