Brian Luce
But on a 720 display. So presumably it's the scaling. Do we need to get a 4k display to determine where the real aliasing is and which is just scaling issues? I showed some footage to client and I was horrified by the ubiquitous aliasing, client actually said "your footage is beautiful". nonetheless, this could be a big prob in the future. Micah Mahaffey
There's barely any aliasing or moire at all. Just convert the clips to 1080p or 720p to match your display then judge the amount of aliasing or moire. From my experience there's is none! animan
if its not there at 100% size its got nothing to do with the camera
Geoff CB
What are you using to play it? Are you running the video on your PC to the moniter? What software? Off a USB stick?Like others above me pointed out, this is a fault of bad scaling, not the camera. I hate negativity about a product created by user incompetence. Brian Luce
I was the one who said it's scaling and asked a specific question about 4k display. there is no negativity in this thread.
DigitalEd
No problem here with the original footage - after it is uploaded to Vimeo or youtube that changes it.

"Moire and aliasing all over NX1 footage! omg!"Yeah that thread title isn't negative toward the NX1 at all. Also again I asked what you are playing it on currently, can't fix the problem without knowing if your playing it on a PC/Mac or on a TV. For PC Pot player is my current favorite to play the original H.265 files on, runs smooth with no scaling issues on my 1080p monitor. Marco Tecno
The title of the thread is very negative towards this camera.
neosushi
Aliasing can happen, but it's really no big deal. And you can really manage to get rid of most of it by turning down sharpness. Even at the minimum this camera gets you tons of details !
