Administrators Andrew Reid Posted April 9, 2015 Administrators Share Posted April 9, 2015 Nikon at NAB have come with a string of code, how generous.http://nikonrumors.com/2015/04/09/nikon-develops-new-firmware-for-the-d4s-d810-and-d750-dslr-cameras.aspx/This one adds timecode to HDMI and start stop trigger so useful for external recorders. Geoff CB
Wish it was the flat profile for the older cameras. Oh well, used to being disappointed by them.
Danyyyel
Time code is a huge huge addition and I think a first in any Dslr and mirrorless camera. It is a very good sign for Nikon to showcase that they are commited to professional video in their DSLR line of cameras. Anyone who does multiple camera shoot for interviews and wedding for example will know how hard and annoying to sinc audio to multi camera shoot. It is a feature found only in professional cameras. The start stop with external recorder is also a very very nice feature, but what abiut peaking. I mean this would be the most important thing that is missing from a usability side of Nikon slr, more so when you are talking full frame camera. I hope that people at nab point it out to them. A7S has it. Both mirrorless cameras.
Guest Ebrahim Saadawi
the ancient 5D mk III has it. 7D too. I mean come on nikon, even peaking + a few simple firmware codes could make a splash at NAB.
