Administrators Andrew Reid Posted April 12, 2015 Administrators Share Posted April 12, 2015 The new lightweight portable URSA Mini has a much smaller screen and looks a bit like a DVX100.New Blackmagic sensor is 4.6K, 15 stops.New Blackmagic Cinema Camera is also to be announced at NAB.Resolve 12 will be released shortly afterwards. wolf33d
Is it me or it looks insanely small ? What we see on the pic is the full camera ? It looks like just a mount !
Geoff CB
Well, that's impressive. Here's hoping for good/global rolling shutter.

Geoff CB
So the lens mount camera is the sequel to the pocket camera? That's awesome, better than giving us a bad moniter that no one uses they just jettisoned the monitor to lower cost and increase battery efficiency. Smart move.EDIT: Also think ATOMOS and other external moniter/recorder manufacturers are going to love the business that this thing brings to them. Administrators Andrew Reid Posted April 12, 2015 Author Administrators Share Posted April 12, 2015 All credit to Noam for the URSA findhttp://noamkroll.com/blackmagic-ursa-mini-is-coming-15-stops-of-dynamic-range-4-6k-sensor-much-more/Specs of the smaller cinema camera coming in just a moment. andy lee
Emilio Gonzalez Diez Junior
This camera seems to mach the 43 rumors of the new pocket camera. The rumor say that the new pocket will use a LP-6 battery. In this photo, it seems to be a LP-6 battery in the back of the camera.http://www.43rumors.com/ft2-is-that-the-new-4k-blackmagic-pocket-cinema-camera-ii/

Zak Forsman
banner also says it's Super16, built-in RAW, and some radio such-and-such for remote control over it (for drone and gimbal use).
Emilio Gonzalez Diez Junior
I think this will be a new camera line by Blackmagic. I think that blackmagic will make a new pocket, hopefully with a better screen and LP-6 batteries
Zak Forsman
Saw bit more. the letter "M" follows Blackmagic. My guess is "Blackmagic Mini Cinema Camera".

Administrators Andrew Reid Posted April 12, 2015 Author Administrators Share Posted April 12, 2015 Clearly no screen on the drone cam if the back is taken up by the LP-6 battery. The URSA Mini form factor is the one I am most interested in. If it's tiny, it will be a winner.

tupp
I hope that the prices on these cameras are good and that they use inexpensive media -- not Cfast.
Emilio Gonzalez Diez Junior
One o the most intriguing thing for me is that the ursa mini has a blackmagic evf. Geoff CB

Zak Forsman
Doubling down on my "Blackmagic Mini Cinema Camera" guess. not much room left on that banner for anything much longer.
