That kinda sucks... I own a couple of 7D Mark 2 and it outputs 1080/60p over HDMI. I guess you can't have it all.

yup only the 7DII unfortunately. All Canon cameras excel for 24p realtime cinema style shooting, yet surpassed enormously by the competition if you want slow motion. 60p is only fine (7DII & C100II & 1DXII, all the others are horrible). Having a B Sony camera for clients who like slo-mo is a must if you want to compete in your local video production market.
