Davide DB
Other than "see it" or opening in Resolve, is there a program that allows you to tell from the metadata of the file if the clip is in vlog? I was opening vlog clips with the stainless MediaInfo and in the metadata I can't find anything. In fact I only find rec.709. Attila Bakos
Check it with Exiftool, you'll see that the file has a tag called "Panasonic Semi-Pro Metadata Xml" (at least that's what I have on the S5IIx), which is actually an XML and it has an element called CaptureGamma, in which you'll see "V-Log" when the clip has been shot in V-Log. ac6000cw and Davide DB 1
MurtlandPhoto
I use MediaInfo. It will do exactly what you need. It's been super useful for me identifying random video clips from other videographers at my day job. Davide DB
Davide DB
I realized that also mediainfo gives this info. I was using the wrong visualization. Everything is inside the Panasonic Semi-Pro Metadata Xml tag and based on the visualization I get a cluttered or more clear view. I discovered I have ISO too. Very useful. For example: com.panasonic.Semi-Pro.metadata.xml : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no" ?> / <ClipMain xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="urn:schemas-Professional-Plug-in:Semi-Pro:ClipMetadata:v1.0"> / <ClipContent> / <GlobalClipID>060A2B340101010501010D2113000000977DFA29AA8CC0044199109111620092</GlobalClipID> / <Duration>768</Duration> / <EditUnit>1/50</EditUnit> / <EssenceList> / <Video> / <Codec BitRate="200">H265_420_LongGOP</Codec> / <ActiveLine>2160</ActiveLine> / <ActivePixel>3840</ActivePixel> / <BitDepth>10</BitDepth> / <FrameRate>50p</FrameRate> / <TimecodeType>NonDrop</TimecodeType> / <StartTimecode>14:51:36:12</StartTimecode> / </Video> / <Audio> / <Channel>2</Channel> / <SamplingRate>48000</SamplingRate> / <BitsPerSample>16</BitsPerSample> / </Audio> / </EssenceList> / <ClipMetadata> / <Rating>0</Rating> / <Access> / <CreationDate>2024-06-14T10:43:43+01:00</CreationDate> / <LastUpdateDate>2024-06-14T10:43:43+01:00</LastUpdateDate> / </Access> / <Device> / <Manufacturer>Panasonic</Manufacturer> / <ModelName>DC-GH5M2</ModelName> / </Device> / <Shoot> / <StartDate>2024-06-14T10:43:43+01:00</StartDate> / </Shoot> / </ClipMetadata> / </ClipContent> / <UserArea> / <AcquisitionMetadata xmlns="urn:schemas-Professional-Plug-in:P2:CameraMetadata:v1.2"> / <CameraUnitMetadata> / <ISOSensitivity>800</ISOSensitivity> / <Gamma> / <CaptureGamma>V-LogL</CaptureGamma> / </Gamma> / <Gamut> / <CaptureGamut>V-Gamut</CaptureGamut> / </Gamut> / </CameraUnitMetadata> / </AcquisitionMetadata> / </UserArea> / </ClipMain>
