septemberdawn
Good outcome. I enjoyed watching the clip. It had a nice 'flow' to it with a good range of cinematic scenes and well edited. The anomalies you mentioned were evident. Which 'taking lens' was used between 1:29 to 1:47?
Julian
Thanks! 1:29 - 1:47 was shot with the Minolta MD Rokkor 35mm f/2.8. Cost me like 20 euro's on eBay. I particularity like that sequence :) - the close focus capabilities and the way the lens+kowa handles the light. In the first shot you can see there is no vignetting, the sun was behind me. In the next shots I was shooting straight into the light and then the extreme corners light up. I still have a lot of lenses to test with the Kowa. I'm curious how the longer focal lengths will turn out. Anyone got experience with that? I have a 100mm 2.5, 135mm 2.8 and 200mm 3.5 which could be interesting I think. treyvollmer
I have the redstan clamp here on my desktop. It fits nice and snug onto the Kowa Bell and Howell 2x, but it doesn't fit any of my lenses. Are there only certain lenses that this combination works with? septemberdawn
You''ll need to use step rings to attach the Redstan clamp to the filter thread of your lens. Which lens or lenses were you intending to use?
treyvollmer
Wow. I can't believe I didn't even think of that. Oh well. Yeah, I've got a bunch of step up rings here from my LA 7200 days. Looks like I'll be needing to buy some more to accommodate my the Kowa. As of now the only lens I can fit is my 1.7 20mm pancake which vignettes like crazy and is electronic focus so I don't feel comfortable with that little lens moving in and out with the big Kowa on the end of it. Anyhow, thanks for the feedback, Septemberdawn. Trey
