Lost Filmmaker
I tried submitting this - but first attempt did not post ... sorry if this is a repeat.3 Questions:1. For a Canon 5Dmk3, does it matter what SIZE Schneider anamorphic lens I get? (Ebay lists 35mm, 65mm, 80mm, 85mm, etc.)2. Do I need one with all the "attachments" - or just the large cylindrical portion?3. Do I need a step-up/down ring only - or do I also need a big clamp from Red Stan / Vid-Atlantic / Ed Lee ? (e.g., if I use a Canon EF 85mm f1.8 with a 58mm front filter thread size) Thanks Guys !!!
ken
1. No to focal length, not size.2. Just anamorphic lens. 3. Whatever way if you can mount the anamorphic lens firmly.
Lost Filmmaker
Thanks, Ken.So if focal length is not an issue - guess I will go with one that has a smaller focal length like this:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Schneider-Super-Cinelux-Anamorphic-2x-MC-Full-Package-35mm-Projector-lens-/161523694276?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item259b8ffac4It's a little more expensive than some others - but it was used by Seller for filming - so it should work for me (I hope).(Seller also told me that lens is 70.6mm Outside Diameter)
ken
For this lens, first need to know how to focus. I think the price listed is doubled over at least.
