Nope and if it was not for the lack of decent AF, peak video camera for me. Yes I wish it was 10% smaller & lighter and I wish they had been able to update it to have the firmware features of the S9 and S5II, ie, the ability to burn in a LUT and multiple frame markers. Whether it was possible or not, I wish they had ‘simply’ made an S2R and an S2H using the S1H body and simply called them the S1Rii and the S1Hii. I suspect that unless they really knock these next releases out of the park, they are cooked though. They just do not seem to get it and that is great product + good marketing = continued existence. Anything less is death. It never ceases to amaze me how some brands with real heritage are simply run into the ground. Panasonic LUMIX does not have that and I am thinking companies more like Olympus and Kodak. You have to be an utter fuckwit to take such heritage and grind it to dust. John Matthews
FYI: There are 18 total cameras in L-mount- 17 are Full-frame and one APS-C. There are 2 box cameras and one gimbal. It would be great to see another APS-C from anyone. Even better, I'd like to see where DJI might take the system. I suppose Sigma, Blackmagic, and DJI are just waiting to see what Panasonic and Leica are going to do in the end. The intriguing one is Sigma. I think they've said the fp and fp L were largely failures for them, but don't get the impression they're giving up. eatstoomuchjam
Super Members BTM_Pix Posted February 15 Super Members Share Posted February 15 There are actually 22 cameras as the S5D needs adding to the full frame count and the Leica T, TL and TL-2 to the APS-C count. There has been a 23rd camera announced which is still yet to actually hit the shelves yet which is the Lumix AW-UB50 box camera. Of course, its stretching a point a bit with the T/TL/TL-2 as they have been discontinued but then again so has the CL, which means there is no currently produced APS-C L mount camera. However, it wouldn't surprise me to see Sigma fill that void. John Matthews and IronFilm 1

That could be interesting, but it would be tough competition with the S9 unless it has a EVF and proper shutter. Now, I'm just dreaming. :-) IronFilm and eatstoomuchjam
Super Members BTM_Pix Posted Saturday at 06:13 PM Super Members Share Posted Saturday at 06:13 PM Sigma being Sigma, I think it might well be a bit more niche. My feeling for a while is that the struggle they've had with trying to make a FF version of the Foveon would lead them to producing another APS-C version of it as a stopgap. With Leica leaving the APS-C arena, it leaves a whole market wide open for them to step into it with a stills only body (CL/TL owners were never arsed about video) that they also have a great range of lenses for. Keep in mind also that the Ronin 4D isn't only L mount. That is one of 4 or 5 mounts available for it (for mine, I have DL, E, and M mounts - with M being the one I've been using exclusively since I got it, though I'll probably get a DL lens (probably the zoom) for use mounted on my car). Maybe that also means that L mount is also available on the Inspire 3? From what I remember, it's the same gimbal/camera as the Ronin 4D.
