zerocool22 Posted yesterday at 03:25 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:25 PM this is a pretty cool pocket camera. I never expected canon to come out with a camera specced out so good. Built in Nd Filters, cooling fan, canon log 3.. Makes me wonder why they didnt include built-in ND's into camera like the S5II, A7SIII and so on. And now all of a sudden a pocket camera has it. Some of the key features of the PowerShot V1 include: 1.4″ CMOS sensor Ultra-wide angle 16-50mm zoom lens 4K 60P recording Canon Log 3 Built-In Cooling Fan Built-in ND Filter (3-stops) 30fps stills performance (electronic shutter) IronFilm
ac6000cw Posted yesterday at 03:40 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:40 PM There's already a thread about this camera - https://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/90124-canon-v1-14”-sensor-16-50mm/ 5 minutes ago, zerocool22 said: Makes me wonder why they didnt include built-in ND's into camera like the S5II, A7SIII and so on. And now all of a sudden a pocket camera has it. I've owned at least two 'pocket' cameras with a built-in ND - the Pana LX7 and the ZV-1. I suspect they have them because making an iris that closes to e.g. F22 on a small lens/sensor is probably quite difficult (and they don't have filter threads to add an ND), so to maintain 180 degree shutter angle for video in very bright conditions means an internal ND is fairly essential.
