Smartphone camera module with a 100mp 4/3 sensor

There is a curious thing: it is a 4/3 sensor with 100mp - but binned in 4x4 pixel, which results in 25mp images.

Same resolution of the sensor that (only) Panasonic is using. Is it the same sensor?

That's one of the most elegant solutions I've seen for a while but it still can't quite shrug off the Frankenstein feel.

The extra lens still needs to be carried around in a separate pocket and not rubbing against keys or wallets.

And if I have an extra pocket I'd rather a Sony RX1R be in it.

Sigma should do a phone and maybe RED should do a camera some day, could work out well.

I have a Hydrogen too, found it languishing on eBay and thought I'd get it for fun. But it's not my daily driver.

I like where it's going.

I have a need to have my phone with me 100% of the time.

I have the need for a camera maybe less than 10% and on certain specific occasions, so would not object to carrying a small man bag or simply putting on a grip and lens for those times and not carrying a small man bag.
