Administrators Andrew Reid Posted Saturday at 10:04 PM Administrators Share Posted Saturday at 10:04 PM Quite ingenious but not cheap (300 euros) Looks reasonably easy to install though!
eatstoomuchjam
I considered getting that back when I had the fp and fp-l. I'm just a bit too ham-fisted to trust myself to install it without destroying the camera. 😅
MrSMW
Ditto, but then I also wanted IBIS. And a second back up card slot. And 4k 60p. Plus there was this lovely wooden grip that Sigma used to make but stopped and could I find one on eBay, Etsy, or anywhere? Nope. If it had just had IBIS, that was the one deal breaker for me, the rest I could compromise on and I would have done the flip screen. Too late now but that body design and that of the FX3/30 are my faves for my video work…but I am with LUMIX.

MUCH better body than the S5 line, but the S5ii beat it for me for: 6k open gate, LUT support, IBIS and crop markers…otherwise I would definitely have gone for it! The rumor is of course an ‘S5ii’ in an ‘FX’ style body incoming…
Administrators Andrew Reid Posted Monday at 09:55 AM Author Administrators Share Posted Monday at 09:55 AM Just need to figure out how to bluetac an EVF on it now. I do like the EVF-11 bolt on but it's too chonky. S5 II in an FX style body would be great. The S5 II rolling shutter however would not be suitable for the FX market, pro filmmakers just wouldn't accept it on a small action camera. So they will need to find a sensor newer than 2017. I convince myself its actually a side handle grip with a small tiltable EVF on top of it and then it doesn't seem so bad 🙂 Andrew Reid
