Intel Skylake and HVEC encoding/decoding

Reading from here:

I see that skylake seems capable of encoding/decoding hvec via hardware. If this is confirmed and implemented in video sw, this could mean that we'll be able to work directly on h.265 files, in real time.

 

Anybody has news/evidences about this?
