cantsin
Well, something shot with overly fast shutter and the M31 teal-orange grading LUT applied in post, cropped to 1:2.35 aspect ratio, at least MFT size sensor given the shallow depth of field, and 4K resolution. That pretty much leaves the GH4/G8, Blackmagic 4k, Samsung NX1 and Sony A7rII (or Sony A7s with external recorder). My guess is that it's an 8bit camera, so GH4 (internal codec)/G8, NX1 or Sony. Liam
It's called Video-Camera blind test, you're not supposed to peak! But I diiiiiiidnnnn't no, the depth of field and focal length seem to show it can't be a smart phone. Not to step on toes, I figure this can be a bit of a discussion neosushi

neosushi
So it's not a Miller Delut - it's the M31 visioncolor + filmconvert. The lens used is a 50mm Leica M Summilux. And I'm really impressed by some of you, in different ways : ) Also, its not a smartphone : ) Maybe the fact that the focus is slightly off could misguide you ; )
cantsin
Then it must be an NX1 since the focal length seems to be in the moderate tele/portrait range, which at 50mm would mean that it's an APS-C sensor. (And since it's an M mount Leica, the camera must be mirrorless.) That just leaves the NX1 as currently the only APS-C mirrorless camera that records 4K video.EDIT: No, wrong, it seems that Leica M can't be adapted to NX, so that only leaves the GH4 - and a hell of a job to keep that tele length stable when shooting without a tripod. TheRenaissanceMan
The color is too processed to tell the manufacturer, but DoF looks to be at least APS-C. Skin tones are actually pretty healthy-looking and the image has great, poppy detail. Not a lot of DR in the highlights, but colors roll off in saturation as they approach clip. I'm going to guess NX1 again, with a longish lens.
hmcindie
Well, if you had marked the frame with in- and out-points in the timeline and used Premiere's export function to render directly to a TIFF, you would have had a much better quality image. (The video preview image in any NLE always sacrifices quality in favor of quick rendering.)Yeah nope. The preview image is pretty much the same as an exported TIFF, as long as the resolution is the same (100%).

I have to say I'm not confident I could reach this kind of color + skin tones with a GH4 though. Lens used is a 50mm Leica M Summilux : )So yes it is a NX1, in 4K UHD mode - used a M31 Lut, and filmconvert (from 1DC not - log profile). I used filmconvert that way cause I think that the M31 is supposed to give you some "Canon-like" colors. Works moderately ok for me : )

neosushi
Very nice look. What were your ooc settings? Thanks Marco, I think it was Gamma DR mode, with contrast -2, sharpness -10, saturation -1 / 0 can't remember... Shutter speed was all over the place cause we didn't have any ND filter.

Liam
any issues with the new mount? that's pretty impressive @neosushi. infinity is still infinity, etc? neosushi
neosushi
No major issues so far, and I can still switch back to the former mount without too many manipulations. However the flange distance (I think its how its called) is quite short, so we cant fit our Leica 35mm. We're not done experimenting though : ) Liam
