Dearborn
Could I get some recommendations for a tripod and fluid head for the gh4 with the Panasonic 12-35mm lens? I'd like to go hiking with it and have something that will last a while. Budget is around 400 for the combo. Thank you for your time. docmoore
Settler Ace M ... only real fluid like head that I know of in this price (used) and weight range. Most others are springy things ... their definition of fluid. Bob
Snowfun
Tripod - I use a 3leggedthing for travel. Stable, strong and light. I think they'll do one within the budget.Tim
Dearborn
Yeah I was looking at a mt055xpro3/502hd bundle but no one seemed to have any opinions on them. I imagine the ace m is better though. Heavier too.

John Emery
I've had both, Ace M and 502hd... Both are smooth and well made. I've got the Manfrotto now, and don't miss the Satchler at all (IMO it's overrated). I use the 502hd head with these legs (I paid less than 90€)...http://www.amazon.com/Ravelli-AVTP-Professional-Camera-Tripod/dp/B00139W0XM/ref=sr_1_1?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1441019126&sr=1-1&keywords=video+tripodThis is another good option...http://www.amazon.com/Benro-A373FBS8-Video-Tripod-Kit/dp/B00HWO6ESY/ref=sr_1_2?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1441019498&sr=1-2&keywords=benro+s8
JazzBox
I had a big Manfrotto, now I use this little one with GH4 and 12-40 (or Canon FD primes)Of course this is not good for big slider etc... http://www.amazon.com/Cullmanncu-52602Nanomax-Tripod-Monopod-Integrated/dp/B0067YW8Q2/ref=sr_1_sc_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1441023001&sr=1-2-spell&keywords=cullman+tripod
bbhaltz
What are people's thoughts on the Miller Air? Anyone had any experience using it? It's around the same price range as the Sachtler Ace I think.Edit: After a quick browse there does seem to be a bit of a price difference between these two systems, though in Australian stores the difference is less significant.
