Do you work for Paramount Studios? If the answer is no then Canon do not any more have an appealing interchangeable lens video camera for you (or even the consumer market) under $15,000. Forget Ron Howard. This needs fixing first.
The Sony NXCAM NEX FS100 is the first ever video camera which is competitive with DSLRs on both price and image quality. Yes it took this long! Now down to $4000 used (ÂŁ2600) in the US, it is an alternative (for video) to the 5D Mark III at $3500 or ÂŁ2999.
It is a pretty disgraceful state of affairs around raw support and new camera releases at the moment and heads need banging together in my opinion.
