Comment on the forum The Canon EOS R full frame mirrorless camera is nearly here. The body appears to have some kind of camcorder-style zoom rocker, it features 4K video but IBIS appears to be missing from the leaked specs. The lenses look rather nice but the sensor appears to have an identical megapixel count as the 5D Mark IV.

Comment on the forum How much longer must video shooters go on taking these middle fingers from the market leader?
Comment on the forum It’s time to turn to Sigma if you are a Sony user. With Sigma’s own Canon mount MC-11 adapter, PDAF in video mode is blazingly responsive. But ONLY with Sigma’s own lenses.

Comment on the forum In 2009 Canon introduced a disruptive technology. His name was the 5D Mark II and it was the devil incarnate. At the time they had a pro line-up of video camcorders like the XL2 which were used by filmmakers all over the world. Canon’s 60+ year old management probably thought they’d just killed an entire business, by accident, with a consumer DSLR.
