Well hell has officially frozen over and Fuji have full manual control in video mode along with 24p. You can download the V3.0 firmware for the X-T1 and X-T1 Chrome edition here. It adds a lot of improvements.

Sony have officially joined the DSLR video scene. The A77, NEX7 and VG20 will support AVCHD 2.0, with full HD 1080p at 60/50/25/24p and full manual control in P,A,S,M modes according to SonyAlphaRumors.com

Recently Canon have shown that manual control is very important even if they do release the same camera 3 times in 12 months. Also recently, Sony have shown that they do not think any kind of manual control is important for the budding filmmaker.
