[vimeo]14725782[/vimeo] Rather than getting bogged down over which DSLR has the best microphone socket and lug straps, and then discussing it for 7 days on a 500 page thread, some take the approach that I too prefer. Get your arse outside. Shoot something. Preferably not your arse!
[vimeo]14330130[/vimeo] Updated Philip Bloom London meet video now with PHILIP GLASS – ‘RESOURCE’ from the KOYAANISQATSI sound track. For the recent green-screen shoot at a Prague sound-stage Philip invited two up-and-coming young filmmakers, Nino Leitner and Sebastian Wiegärtner to shoot with him. EOSHD caught up with Nino a few days after the shoot to ask him about all things DSLR video related and to find out what he gets…

If you haven’t seen it already don’t read any further! I’m going to go into quite a bit of detail on what I think is the conclusion, for me anyway, of this shootout. So, spoilers ahead…
1. Economies of scale 40 million Canon SLR format cameras have been sold since 1987 and half of those after 2003. In 2010 digital photography is a huge market, much larger than niche Red found in the comparatively small indie filmmaking and professional production markets.
