Comment on the forum The historic photographic industry exhibition Photokina is over. Management blame the decline of the camera industry, and couldn’t even organise a show for 2022 by which time the pandemic will be well under control. This news is extremely sad, and hardly satisfactory that the camera companies and Photokina management couldn’t work something out.

Comment on the forum I am going to have to be quite hard on Sony in this article, but it comes from a place of love.
Here it is.
From now on all EOSHD videos and camera tests will be on YouTube, not only Vimeo. Subscribe to the EOSHD Youtube Channel here. Recently EOSHD forum user “Werner” had the chance to meet Canon at the European HQ in Germany.
At Photokina I talked to product specialists Jörg Ammon and John Morris, both of Canon Europe. We talked about what improvements the 7D Mark II brings for video as well as few other relevant topics for filmmakers.
[vimeo]http://vimeo.com/106946973[/vimeo] At Photokina (Photokino for video users!) I briefly played with the Nikon D750. With the camera tethered to a sales rep stand and so much else for filmmakers at the show like the Sony A7S, Panasonic GH4, Samsung NX1, Blackmagic and Red, I didn’t really have much time for the Canon or Nikon areas, but I did form some first impressions of using the new camera.
Day one at Photokina and first on the agenda is a catch-up chat with Sony product managers Bill Drummond, Ben Pilling and Robbie Fleming who had arrived fresh from IBC. I took a tour of the Sony booth and briefly tried the new Sony FS7 Super 35mm cinema camera for filmmakers!
I’m heading to Photokina today (Monday) for the 2014 show, here are the new developments to expect on the cinema and video side of the show.
