Comment on the forum Today the Panasonic S1 gets the new V1.2 firmware update which brings the capability to unlock the catchily dubbed DMW-SFU2 upgrade capabilities. Full V-LOG (not “L”), Cinema VariCam colour science (V-Gamut) and 10bit codec upgrade to 4K 4:2:2 150Mbit are the main features. As well as that there’s LUT support in camera, high res 24bit audio and other exciting improvements.

Comment on the EOSHD Forum Panasonic have unveiled the S1 Filmmaker Update pack at the launch of the big brother camera, the S1H. The good news for S1 users is that it’s better than anybody expected. An extremely generous array of upgrades as well as V-LOG, for just $199.
A great feature few have really talked about so far is that the Panasonic GH5 will allow LUTs to be loaded onto the camera.
Comment on the forum What separates the colour science of photography companies like Canon, Nikon and Fuji from the approach taken by electronic engineering firms Sony, Samsung and Panasonic? EOSHD has a theory.
Panasonic today made the V-LOG firmware update for the GH4 official. It is a paid update $99? Absolutely. I will be buying it. It is affordable enough for enthusiasts. Pros especially must be very thankful. The last time the paid to add LOG via a firmware update it cost $3000 with the Sony F3!
[vimeo]http://vimeo.com/136300528[/vimeo] Give your Panasonic GH4 LOG already with the EOSHD LOG Converter. The LOG Converter includes an instruction manual and my Canon 1D C style cinematic LUT, which is designed to mimic the Canon colour science of the 1D C for a more cinematic colour rendition on the GH4.
Comment on the forum Just a quick heads up from Panasonic in New Zealand. Finally a GH4 user had a well earned answer! The company is currently aiming for October for the long awaited V-LOG profile to come to the GH4.
Opinion piece, by Andrew Reid In only a few months, 57 new features have been added to the Samsung NX1. Meanwhile Panasonic have been more keen than many to evolve their products, adding a 4K Photo mode to the GH4 and 24p for 4:3 shooting, a nod to anamorphic filmmakers. But it isn’t enough. No anamorphic de-squeeze for instance and now the time it has taken for V-LOG to reach us has been too long.…
