Can the Olympus cameras compete with a full frame Canon DSLR for those with extensive EF lens collections? And is video quality improved with the epic firmware updates just released?

UPDATE: Subsequent 2016 firmware updates address the issues with L-LOG highlighted in this earlier 2015 article The Leica SL has hit Berlin already and retail units will begin to ship in just over a week. I took the final camera in my hands to suss it out from a video point of view.

Some interesting new developments from Apple on the new iPhone 6S camera. The phone now shoots 4K video with a new 12MP sensor. A new feature, Live Photos stores multiple 12MP frames with a new compression technology to give movement to still photos.
I have just released a Setup Guide for the Samsung NX1. This guide makes the camera compatible with a range of LUTs so you can more easily apply stylistic moods to 4K footage in post. Along with the LOG conversion workflow, the guide explains the best settings for the NX1 and what you must know before using it for video work.
[vimeo]http://vimeo.com/135688240[/vimeo] I have created a detailed guide to the Sony A7R II with my preferred best video settings for the camera as well as an exciting new colour-path for the camera which adds a Canon LOG style picture profile to the A7R II. This delivers much more satisfying colour and more easily than S-LOG.
